Everyone asks for recipes using our garlic…so here are a few of our favorites. Have one to share? Please send it to us and we will add it to the site.
Garlic Powder
Break a bulb apart into several cloves and peel off the skins. Cut them into thin slices to aid in drying and let slices dry at room temperature. Once garlic slices are completely dry, use a blender, mortar and pestle, or a kitchen mallet (be sure to put the slices in a baggie first) to turn the dried slices into powder. Store garlic powder in an air tight bottle.
Cauliflower & Garlic
This is a favorite in our house and even kids have been known to enjoy it! Cut cauliflower into florets and place in a 14-inch sauté pan with 3-6 Tbs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Peel and slice garlic into paper thin pieces and put in pan with cauliflower. Add garlic to suit your tastes. We usually use at least two cloves. Add a sprinkling of sea salt (again to taste). Continue adding olive oil as needed during sautéing. When cauliflower is cooked, take the pan off the stove and let it sit for a few minutes to cool before serving.
Garlic Chicken
A quick and easy recipe…Simply add four chicken breasts seasoned with thyme, rosemary, sage, parsley, salt and pepper (to taste), 12 unpeeledCcloves of garlic, and 1 cup chicken stock to a crock pot. Set the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with artisan bread to use the cooked garlic straight from the peel as a spread.
