alpaca description

Even though Buster was born right on our farm, his lineage boasts some of the most well-known and profitable impact herdsires in the industry including Legacy, Legacy Gold, and Hemingway.

To compliment his stellar pedigree, Buster has been awarded in the show ring as well. Buster has ribboned in every show he has entered and even placed in a very tough class at MAPACA although he was one of the youngest in the class. Some words that judges have used to describe this boy include, athletic, solid, macho, muscular, well-conditioned, bright, impressive, and well-put together.

Buster showed at MAPACA 2007. The competition was fierce and Buster was the second youngest in the class, but he held his own and placed 6th in the large field. The judge had a hard time placing the 5th and 6th place winners. She came back to Buster three times before her final decision. Buster did it again taking a Blue ribbon at the Empire Extravaganza in 2007 and a Red (out of 13 great looking males) at the Western New York Alpaca Show 2008. We are proud of Sandy Creek’s Buster Keaton and we look forward to showing him again this fall at the Empire Extravaganza in Syracuse, NY.

Buster’s fiber is both bright and soft with organized, crimpy bundles. He is a solid dark fawn/light brown color from the tip of his ears to his fuzzy toes. His square, typey face and solid conformation helped Buster place well in the shows in which he was entered.
